Step by step
The narration of the video as text. Select a time to play the video from that step.
In this video, you'll add a website to AlienGate and prove that you own it, so it can be scanned and monitored.
Open Infrastructure Security, then Websites and IPs. This is your asset inventory: every domain, subdomain and IP address AlienGate watches for you.
Click Add Target in the top right corner.
Keep Domain selected, and type the domain you want to add. Here we add shop dot northwind dot example dot com.
Next, choose how to prove ownership. A DNS TXT record is recommended. You can also upload an HTML file, or receive a one-time code at an email address on that domain.
Then click Add and Verify.
AlienGate shows the TXT record to create. Copy the host and the value, and add them in your DNS provider's settings.
DNS changes can take a few minutes to appear. When the record is live, click Verify.
Done. The domain is verified and added to your attack surface.
Your new target now appears in the list. Next, run a vulnerability scan on it. That is the next video in this guide.
